About us
Committed to excellence in education, we provide a nurturing environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and personally.

Our mission
To provide quality instruction for production of outstanding learner performance and holistic development of every child for effective preparation for life.
Our vision
To be recognized and respected as an institution that thrives in virtues in pursuit of academic excellence.
Our History
Tumaini House School was founded in 2001, originally as a rescue centre for vulnerable girls in Barut, a rural area approximately three kilometers from Nakuru Town, within Nakuru West Sub-county. The school was born out of a deep commitment to offer hope (“Tumaini” in Kiswahili) and a future to girls from underprivileged and at-risk backgrounds in the local community.
In 2004, the school was officially registered under the Ministry of Education, transitioning from a community-based initiative to a recognized educational institution. Since then, Tumaini House School has steadily grown in both infrastructure and enrollment, evolving into a reputable mixed day and boarding school, with well-equipped boarding facilities for girls.
Over the years, we have expanded our academic programs, improved our facilities, and maintained a strong emphasis on values-based education. Today, we proudly stand as one of the most respected educational institutions in the region, known for our commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and moral integrity.
Our growth is a testament to the dedication of our founders, staff, parents, and the broader community. We have nurtured hundreds of students who have gone on to succeed in various fields, embodying the values and vision of the school.
At Tumaini House School, we provide a holistic education that blends academic achievement with the development of character, emotional intelligence, and social responsibility. Our dedicated teaching staff, modern classrooms, science and computer labs, serene learning environment, and co-curricular opportunities ensure that every child is given the best chance to succeed.
"We are dedicated to offering quality education in a safe and supportive environment. Our goal is to nurture well-rounded learners who excel both in academics and character."
Mr. Jackson Twaem
